China Toy Recall From US

The popular toy for kids Aqua Dots are now being recalled in the USA following the products being recalled in Australia a few days prior. The products have been found to contain a chemical that can turn toxic when any is ingested. The coating on the beads that causes the beads to stick to each other when water is added contains a chemical that can turn toxic when many are ingested. Children who swallow the beads can become comatose, develop respiratory depression, or have seizures. The chemical is used as Date Rape Drug.

This follows a string of Chinese produced toys recalled from markets including the Bumbo baby seat.

The recalled toy is a craft kit which allows children to create various multi-dimensional designs using small colored beads. The beads fuse together when sprayed with water. The recall applies to all models of Aqua Dots. The product is available in various different kits with accessories such as a drying fan, applicator pen, design templates for the beads, and spray bottle.

To find out how to send these products back to the manufacture if you have recently bought them contact the Spin Master. There are 4.2 million of these in the US and they are all being recalled. So please if you have this toy in your home remove from your child's reach IMMEDIATLY and contact Spinmaster Toys.

I saw this at the store the other day and thought it a neat idea... But I saw on the news tonight that it's not. :-(

As I always believe, when it comes to kids, it's better to err on the side of safety.

I can't understand how these companies risk the lives of kids safety for pure financial gain.!!

I'm glad you brought this to peoples attention who have not heard this news.

I hardly think the company did this on purpose. It also brings up the question of what the countries who import these toys are doing to ensure they are safe.

Well I think that the company didn't do this either but it is a postability and kids love to do these projects and adults do not know what's not good for their kids i am a kid and I wanted these for Christmas but i guess i won't get to get them and i called my mom and she told me and i am surprised i hared it another time today

Yeah, and also some dolls from before 2007 have plomo(I don't know how to say plomo in english). And then the paint they use on other toys. Componies always test if the work, but never if they're actually SAFE.

P.S. I wonder if Pixos use the same drug, let's look at the facts:

Both are from Spinmaster

They are both beads

They both had studios

Both stick with water

Now let's look at the differences:

Different names

(MAYBE a different formula)

Parents should really check on what kind of materials they use, or research it, at least DO SOMETHING...

P.S. Sorry about that -----------/
